Retraction Policy
Retraction Policy
m-JACS considers published articles as part of the permanent scholarly record and therefore does not permit withdrawal or retraction once an article has passed plagiarism checks, undergone peer review, and been published.
-
Finality of Publication: Once an article has been successfully reviewed, accepted, and published online, it is deemed final and cannot be retracted by the author.
-
Plagiarism or Ethical Breach Discovered Post-Publication: In rare cases where serious ethical breaches such as undisclosed plagiarism or data fabrication are discovered after publication, the editorial board may initiate a formal investigation following COPE guidelines.
-
Retraction by Editorial Decision: If necessary, the article may be retracted with a formal notice clearly stating the reasons for retraction, while retaining the original article for the scholarly record with appropriate watermark or tagging.
-
Author-Initiated Requests: Authors cannot request retraction of a published article for personal, academic, or publication preference reasons.
