Plagiarism Policy
m-JACS maintains a strict policy against plagiarism to uphold academic integrity and research originality.
Initial Screening: As soon as an article is submitted online, it is automatically screened using iThenticate plagiarism detection software.
Similarity Threshold: The similarity index must be below 20% (excluding references and commonly used phrases) for the article to proceed to peer review.
Author Notification: If the similarity score exceeds the threshold, authors are notified through the journal’s internal communication system. The plagiarism report is attached, and authors are requested to revise and resubmit the manuscript.
System Logging: All such communications and decisions are documented within the editorial system for transparency and accountability.
Consequences: Submissions found to contain plagiarized content that is not corrected will be rejected. Repeated or severe violations may lead to a permanent ban from future submissions.
