Plagiarism Policy

m-JACS maintains a strict policy against plagiarism to uphold academic integrity and research originality.

• Initial Screening: As soon as an article is submitted online, it is automatically screened using iThenticate plagiarism detection software.

• Similarity Threshold: The similarity index must be below 20% (excluding references and commonly used phrases) for the article to proceed to peer review.

• Author Notification: If the similarity score exceeds the threshold, authors are notified through the journal’s internal communication system. The plagiarism report is attached, and authors are requested to revise and resubmit the manuscript.

• System Logging: All such communications and decisions are documented within the editorial system for transparency and accountability.

• Consequences: Submissions found to contain plagiarized content that is not corrected will be rejected. Repeated or severe violations may lead to a permanent ban from future submissions.
