At mLAC Journal for Arts, Commerce and Sciences (m-JACS), we recognize the importance of long-term digital preservation of scholarly content. Ensuring that our published articles remain accessible to the global research community—even in the event of technical failures or discontinuation—is a critical component of our publishing ethics.
We have adopted the following archiving mechanisms to preserve and safeguard our content:
m-JACS participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides free, automated, and distributed preservation services for OJS-based journals. Through this, our content is securely preserved and remains accessible even in cases of system failure or journal discontinuation.

m-JACS also participates in the CLOCKSS archiving program, a community-governed, non-profit digital archive that ensures the long-term survival of web-based scholarly content. If the journal is no longer available, CLOCKSS ensures that the content remains accessible to the scholarly community.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their preprint, accepted manuscript, and final published version in institutional or subject-based repositories in accordance with our Open Access and licensing policy.
All journal content is stored and regularly backed up on secure servers managed by the publisher. Redundant copies are maintained to protect against data loss or system failure.
m-JACS assigns Archival Resource Keys (ARKs) to all published articles to ensure persistent, actionable, and long-lasting identifiers. These ARKs are maintained through the global N2T.net system, which ensures accessibility even if the journal’s URL structure changes in the future.
Example: https://n2t.net/ark:/26340/MJACS.v3i1.226

By implementing these multi-layered preservation strategies, m-JACS ensures uninterrupted access to its published content and aligns with international best practices in digital preservation.
