About the Journal

The International Journal of Fundamental and Applied Sciences (IJFAS) (ISSN: 2278-1404) is an international, peer-reviewed, quarterly, open-access journal associated with BioMedAsia and MLACW Research, an academic research initiative associated with Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (Autonomous), Bengaluru, India.

BioMedAsia is a group of peer-reviewed, open-access journals covering a wide range of academic disciplines since its inception in 2012. It aims to publish quality research from around the world and facilitate the timely dissemination of scholarly knowledge. MLACW Research supports academic research and the dissemination of scholarly publications, with an emphasis on academic excellence, research collaboration, and the sharing of scholarly knowledge with the wider research community.

Through this association, IJFAS seeks to promote the publication and dissemination of original research and scholarly contributions in fundamental and applied sciences, particularly in biological and pharmaceutical sciences.

Aims and Scope

IJFAS publishes original peer-reviewed research addressing biological processes and their applications in pharmaceutical, agricultural, and industrial biotechnology. Its scope includes biomolecules, computational biology, bioinformatics, experimental biological models, fundamental biochemical pathways, and immunological processes and their applications in health and disease.

The journal also provides a forum for research on herbal medicines, traditional medicines, and natural products. Relevant areas include the active ingredients and complex formulations of herbal medicines, medicinal resources, phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic applications investigated through experimental and clinical studies.

IJFAS aims to communicate developments in pharmaceutical and biological sciences and to advance understanding of the biochemical, molecular, and cellular foundations of biological processes. It welcomes scholarly contributions that support scientific inquiry, encourage interdisciplinary research, and contribute to the development of knowledge in its areas of interest.

Types of Contributions

The journal considers research articles, review papers, short communications, letters to the editor, book reviews, conference announcements, and other relevant scientific contributions, subject to editorial assessment and the journal's publication policies.

Open Access and Scholarly Dissemination

IJFAS provides open access to its published research to support the broad dissemination and use of scholarly knowledge. Articles published in the journal are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to facilitate their identification, citation, and linking.
